We are working amongst vulnerable communities primarily in Borno and Yobe states of Nigeria arguably the most vulnerable place to live in Nigeria now because of poverty and insecurity. In our own small way, we are currently implementing a basic education response programme with support from Creative International / United States Agency for International Development (USAID) where 1400 out of school children and adolescents of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) spread across 28 learning centres and host communities in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State. This education crisis response programme involves provision of basic literacy and numeracy skills to these otherwise hapless children. In addition, there is a light snacks and water during their learning contact days and hours.

However data by Creative International, an American NGO that has been implementing relatively large basic education crisis response programmes in the crisis-ridden North-Eastern sub region of Nigeria reveals that we still have a staggering 60000 out-of-school children in Maiduguri alone. Thus the need for programme scale-up with support from potential partners from individuals to corporates. And this support could be in the form of donations, learning materials.
